PinMyDock for macOS

Privacy Policy for PinMyDock

Last updated: 15 August 2026

PinMyDock is a macOS desktop utility provided by PINROM SRL. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the PinMyDock application.

PinMyDock does not require a user account, does not use advertising SDKs, does not use third-party tracking, and does not collect analytics or marketing data about users. Core Dock Stabilization does not require Accessibility permission. Optional Advanced Dock Control requires macOS Accessibility/Post Event access only when the user enables functionality that needs it.

1. Who provides PinMyDock

PinMyDock is provided by PINROM SRL. For privacy-related questions, you can contact us at [email protected].

PinMyDock is designed to help users with multi-display macOS setups reduce accidental Dock activation or relocation on displays they have not selected for Dock use.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the PinMyDock macOS application and to personal information that you voluntarily provide directly to PINROM SRL, for example through support or email.

This policy does not govern information processed independently by Apple in connection with the Mac App Store, Apple services, purchases, downloads, device diagnostics, or your Apple Account.

3. No user account required

PinMyDock does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal information in order to use the application.

The application does not operate a user registration system and does not maintain a remote user database.

4. Privacy-focused local processing

PinMyDock does not sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or third-party tracking. Operational information required by application features is processed locally as described below and is not automatically transmitted to PINROM SRL.

PinMyDock does not:

5. Local preferences and automation information

PinMyDock stores preferences and operational configuration locally on your Mac so that the application can operate according to your choices.

Depending on the features you use, locally stored information may include:

These settings and operational records are stored locally using macOS application storage mechanisms and are not automatically transmitted to PINROM SRL.

Display identifiers are used to distinguish displays and restore the configuration selected by the user. PinMyDock does not automatically transmit these identifiers to PINROM SRL.

6. Dock Stabilization and local pointer processing

Core Dock Stabilization does not require Accessibility permission. When enabled, PinMyDock creates transparent, non-activating edge guards along exposed bottom-edge sections of displays where Dock activation has been disabled by the user.

These edge guards operate inside windows owned by PinMyDock. Areas where displays are connected remain open so the pointer can move naturally between adjacent displays.

When the pointer reaches a protected edge, PinMyDock may process its current position and move it a small distance away from that edge to reduce accidental Dock activation.

Pointer coordinates used for this behavior are processed locally and transiently. PinMyDock does not store a history of pointer coordinates or transmit those coordinates to PINROM SRL.

7. Accessibility and Advanced Dock Control

Advanced Dock Control is optional and requires macOS Accessibility/Post Event access when functionality that needs to post pointer events is enabled.

PinMyDock uses this access to post a brief pointer-movement event used to request native Dock relocation. It does not use Accessibility access to inspect accessibility elements or read the user interface hierarchy of other applications.

Accessibility/Post Event access is not used to read keyboard input, capture the screen, read documents or window contents, or store or transmit pointer coordinates.

PinMyDock does not request Screen Recording, keyboard Input Monitoring, Camera, Microphone, or Location Services permission, and does not use Apple Events Automation.

8. Follow Mouse and Follow Active Window

PinMyDock does not use a global CGEventTap. When Follow Mouse requires it, the application may use a macOS global event monitor for mouse-moved and mouse-dragging events together with the current pointer position.

This monitoring is used only to determine the display relevant to Follow Mouse. It does not monitor keyboard input, read text being typed, create a history of mouse movement, or transmit pointer coordinates to PINROM SRL. Pointer positions are processed locally and transiently.

Follow Active Window may process local technical information needed to determine the display associated with the relevant window, such as a process identifier, window geometry or bounds, display association, and other technical metadata needed to select the appropriate window.

PinMyDock does not read window titles, document contents, or window pixels for this feature, and this operational information is not transmitted to PINROM SRL.

9. App Activation Rules and Automation Activity

App Activation Rules may process the active application, application name, bundle identifier, and the profile or rule associated with that application. This information is used locally only to execute rules configured by the user and is not automatically transmitted to PINROM SRL.

PinMyDock keeps a local Automation Activity history of up to 200 events. Depending on the actions performed, an entry may contain information such as the name of an application that triggered a rule, a profile name, feature activation or deactivation, import or export activity, or another action relevant to automation.

Automation Activity is stored locally on the Mac. The user can filter, copy, export, or clear this history. It is not automatically transmitted to PINROM SRL.

10. Dock Doctor and diagnostic reports

PinMyDock includes Dock Doctor for local diagnostics. A diagnostic report may include technical information such as the application version and build, runtime state, display names and resolutions, built-in or main display status, profile counts, active profile name, rule counts, Accessibility status, Automation Activity count, Launch at Login status, and redacted display identifiers.

Diagnostic reports are generated locally and are exported only when the user explicitly chooses to save them. They are not automatically sent to PINROM SRL.

Diagnostic reports do not include window titles, document contents, keystrokes, pointer coordinates, or full display identifiers.

11. Import, export, and file access

PinMyDock accesses files only in response to an explicit user action, such as selecting a configuration backup for import, choosing a destination for configuration export, or choosing where to save a diagnostic report.

PinMyDock does not generally scan the user's files or document contents and does not automatically transmit imported, exported, or diagnostic files to PINROM SRL.

12. Launch at login

PinMyDock can be configured to launch automatically when you sign in to macOS.

This feature is optional and is enabled only according to your choice. It uses the standard macOS launch-at-login mechanism and does not provide PINROM SRL with information about when you sign in or use your Mac.

You can disable this option from PinMyDock or through the relevant macOS System Settings.

13. No advertising, analytics, tracking, or background telemetry

PinMyDock does not contain advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking technologies.

The application does not display advertising, track users across applications or websites, or create user profiles for advertising or marketing purposes.

PinMyDock does not transmit background telemetry or application usage analytics to PINROM SRL. Explicit user actions and Apple update checks are described separately below.

14. App Store update checks and Apple services

PinMyDock may contact Apple's App Store or iTunes lookup service to determine whether a newer public Mac App Store version is available. The request may use the public App Store ID, application version, and storefront country or locale when available.

These update requests are sent to Apple, not to PINROM SRL, and do not constitute PINROM telemetry. Update checking can be disabled by the user from the application.

PinMyDock may be downloaded through the Mac App Store. Apple may independently process information relating to App Store downloads, purchases, subscriptions, device diagnostics, account activity, and requests made to Apple services.

That processing is controlled by Apple and is governed by Apple's applicable privacy notices and your Apple privacy settings. You can learn more from App Store & Privacy and the Apple Privacy Policy.

PinMyDock does not receive your Apple Account credentials or payment card information.

15. Contact Support and other direct communications

When you explicitly choose Contact Support, PinMyDock opens https://www.pinrom.ro/support in your default browser and may include app=pinmydock, the selected support language, application version, and build number in the URL.

Contact Support does not automatically include profiles, display identifiers, Automation Activity, diagnostic reports, pointer positions, or document contents.

If you contact PINROM SRL through the support website or by email, we may process information that you voluntarily submit, such as your email address, your name if provided, technical details you choose to share, attachments, and the content of your request.

We use this information only to respond to your request, investigate the issue you reported, maintain related correspondence, protect our legitimate interests, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Please do not send information that is not necessary for us to handle your request.

16. No sale of personal data

PINROM SRL does not sell personal data processed in connection with PinMyDock.

17. Data retention

Operational settings, profiles, rules, and other local application information remain on your Mac until removed, cleared, replaced, or otherwise managed by the application, macOS, or the user.

Automation Activity is maintained as a bounded local history of up to 200 events and can be cleared by the user.

Diagnostic reports and exported files are created only at locations selected by the user and remain under the user's control.

Because PinMyDock does not transmit background application usage data to PINROM SRL, PINROM SRL does not maintain server-side histories of pointer coordinates, profiles, display identifiers, App Activation Rules, or Automation Activity generated during ordinary application use.

Support messages, attachments, and related correspondence submitted to PINROM SRL are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, manage follow-up communication, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

18. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal data processed by PINROM SRL.

These rights may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, or data portability, where applicable.

You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before the withdrawal.

Most PinMyDock operational settings and information remain locally under your control on your own Mac.

To exercise your rights or ask privacy-related questions, contact us at [email protected].

19. Supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable data protection law, you may submit a complaint to the competent data protection supervisory authority.

In Romania, the competent authority is the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal, available at dataprotection.ro.

20. Security

PinMyDock is designed to minimize privacy and security risks by processing its operational information locally and by avoiding unnecessary collection or transmission of data.

However, no device, operating system, storage mechanism, or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

21. Changes to this Privacy Policy

PINROM SRL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to PinMyDock, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

Any changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
