Workspace Toolbox is a macOS utility developed by PINROM SRL. This policy explains how the application and this related web page handle information.
1. Who is responsible
Workspace Toolbox and this website are operated by PINROM SRL. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact [email protected].
2. Data collection and tracking
Workspace Toolbox does not create a PINROM account and does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or cross-app tracking. The application contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, external crash-reporting SDK, or telemetry service.
The application privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected-data categories. Features described below process information locally only when required to perform an action chosen by the user.
3. Screenshots, screen recording, OCR, screen tools, and Assist
Screen Recording permission is requested only for features started by the user, including screenshots, scrolling screenshots, OCR, screen analysis, and screen recording. Screen recording may include no audio, system audio, microphone audio, or both audio sources only when the user explicitly selects that mode.
Captured pixels, recordings, audio, OCR text, QR content, sampled colors, and screenshot edits are processed locally on the Mac. Workspace Toolbox does not automatically upload this content.
Assist features that need to post pointer events, including Dwell Click, Move the Pointer With Keys, assisted clicks, drag lock, and assisted scrolling, request the macOS permission required to post those events only when the user activates a feature that needs it. The permission is used only for the pointer movement, click, drag, or scroll events required by the selected Assist feature. Workspace Toolbox does not use this permission as general access to another application's user interface.
4. Files, images, metadata, and exports
Workspace Toolbox accesses only files and folders explicitly selected through standard macOS panels. Files and images are processed locally. Optional background removal uses Apple Vision on the Mac to create a foreground mask and does not upload the selected image.
Image Processing can preserve compatible source metadata or remove metadata when the user selects that option. Exports are written only to a destination chosen by the user. Batch operations are non-destructive by default and do not automatically overwrite original files.
5. Clipboard features
Clean Copy reads and replaces plain text in the system clipboard only after an explicit user action. It does not simulate Paste in another application.
Clipboard History is optional and disabled until the user enables it. While enabled, it observes supported text and image clipboard changes so it can provide a local history. The history is bounded, encrypted locally using AES-GCM, and protected by a key stored in the macOS Keychain. Workspace Toolbox ignores file URLs and supported transient, concealed, or automatically generated clipboard items. Clipboard content is not uploaded, used for analytics, or written to diagnostic logs. The user can delete individual entries, clear the entire history, or disable the feature.
6. Local preferences and diagnostic information
Workspace Toolbox stores non-sensitive preferences locally, including enabled modules, appearance, language, hotkeys, menu bar preferences, onboarding state, Clipboard History settings, Assist settings, Automation Autopilot configuration and schedules, and export presets. Security-scoped bookmarks may be stored for locations explicitly selected by the user.
The application may keep a bounded local diagnostic history containing technical event names, error codes, application and macOS versions, session-health state, and limited resource information. Apple MetricKit diagnostic payloads supplied by macOS may also be retained locally. Diagnostic storage is limited by count, size, and age and can be cleared from Support & Diagnostics.
Diagnostic events and application logs do not include clipboard contents, screenshots, recordings, audio, OCR text, QR content, file contents, complete file paths, window titles, pointer coordinates, user names, device names, or persistent device identifiers. A diagnostic report is created only after an explicit action and is saved only to a location selected by the user. It is not uploaded automatically.
7. Purchases and the free trial
In-app purchases and the optional free 14-day trial are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Workspace Toolbox reads verified StoreKit transaction information to determine access to Pro capabilities. PINROM SRL does not receive payment-card information. StoreKit transaction records are maintained by Apple under Apple's policies.
8. Network use and update checks
Workspace Toolbox can contact Apple's public Lookup API to determine whether a newer Mac App Store version is available. The request contains the public App Store ID, the Mac software entity, an App Store or macOS region when available, and a unique value used to avoid a stale cached response. It does not contain screenshots, recordings, audio, OCR text, clipboard content, file names, diagnostic reports, account identifiers, or a PINROM tracking identifier.
Automatic checks run at most once every 24 hours, and manual checks use a short cooldown. These requests are sent to Apple, not to PINROM SRL. Workspace Toolbox does not include an automatic user-content upload service.
9. Support, external links, and sharing
Contact Support opens the PINROM support page in the user's default browser. The page address may include the application identifier, selected language, installed version, and build so the form can be prepared correctly. Workspace Toolbox does not submit a support message, email address, attachment, or diagnostic report automatically.
Information voluntarily submitted through the support form may include the selected application and request type, message content, optional email address, version, build, Support Code, and an optional supported attachment. The form requires consent before submission. Support submissions are used only to handle the request, protect the service from abuse, and meet applicable contractual or legal obligations. Uploaded files are not executed or extracted automatically and are removed under the support service's bounded retention process.
Opening this Privacy Policy, the PINROM website, the support page, a Mac App Store page, or the macOS Share Sheet is an explicit user action handled by macOS, the browser, Apple, or the destination service chosen by the user. Those services may apply their own privacy policies.
10. Website technical logs
When this web page or another PINROM page is visited, short-term technical access logs may be created for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and operational debugging. These logs may include:
- IP address, including IPv4 or IPv6 addresses provided through Cloudflare headers;
- date and time of the request;
- visited page or file;
- HTTP method and response status;
- browser or user-agent information;
- approximate country code provided by Cloudflare.
Technical access logs are retained for up to approximately 6 months and are then rotated and deleted. This website does not currently use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or behavioral analytics cookies.
11. Service providers
Apple processes Mac App Store purchases, trial transactions, update lookups, and platform services under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. Cloudflare is used for DNS, security, routing, and delivery of the PINROM website. Email and support infrastructure providers may process information only as necessary to deliver and manage communications submitted by the user.
12. Legal basis
Application data is processed locally to provide features explicitly requested by the user. Support information is processed to respond to requests, take steps before entering into a contract where applicable, comply with legal obligations, and pursue the legitimate interest of managing support and protecting the service. Website access logs are processed based on the legitimate interest of keeping the website secure, available, and functioning correctly.
13. Retention and deletion
Workspace Toolbox does not automatically send application content, usage analytics, clipboard history, or diagnostic data to PINROM SRL. Users control files and reports they save and may delete them at any time. Local diagnostic data can be cleared inside the application and expires automatically under its bounded retention policy. Clipboard History entries can be deleted or cleared inside the application.
Local application preferences and stored application data can be removed by deleting the application's sandbox container data. Information voluntarily submitted through the support website is kept only as long as necessary to manage the request, protect the service, and satisfy applicable contractual, accounting, or legal requirements.
14. Your rights
Under the GDPR, where applicable, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing performed before withdrawal. To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].
15. Supervisory authority
If you believe your personal data rights have not been respected, you may contact the Romanian data protection authority, Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal, at dataprotection.ro.
16. Children
Workspace Toolbox is a general-purpose productivity utility and is not directed specifically to children. PINROM SRL does not knowingly use the application to collect personal information from children.
17. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Workspace Toolbox, the website, the technical setup, or legal requirements change. The effective date shown at the top identifies the current version.
18. Contact
